There was no opening act for Santana at Ruoff Music Center on Wednesday, August 3rd, 2022 as Earth Wind and Fire had performed on the originally scheduled date earlier this summer.
74-year-old Carlos Santana was previously scheduled to perform at Ruoff on July 8th but announced he was postponing his show right after the opening act Earth Wind and Fire was finished performing their set due to health issues.
The Rock & Roll Hall of Fame inductee started with a song he played at 1969’s Woodstock. “Soul Sacrifice” screamed through the gold-colored guitar played by the legend.
With 10 Grammy Award wins and three Latin Grammys earned over decades of entertaining, Carlos Santana was on fire with his signature guitar sound mixed with Latin beats.
Touring to support their album “Blessings and Miracles” (2021) Santana put on a show that put off positive spiritual vibes, with a wonderful mixture of people of all ages. Everyone from children to the beer vendors was dancing in the aisles.
The band 9-piece band of top talent included Carlos’s wife Cindy Blackman Santana on drums.
In 1998, Carlos Santana and his family established The Milagro Foundation. A publicly supported foundation to support under-resourced children in the areas of the arts, education, and health. https://milagrofoundation.org
The show was produced by Live Nation Entertainment.
